This week's edition: Unpopular opinions relating to Pokemon! Because I'm such an interesting person.
-Red isn't that great. Heck, he hasn't even gotten past Kanto. Yes, I know he's in a bunch of other games, but all we know is that he's been there. Meanwhile, most of Ash's league challenges have gotten him into the top 8. It isn't winning, but how could you seriously knock someone after they got into the top 8? The top 8 is still fucking amazing. Red has quality, but Ash has quality and quantity.
-I enjoy Pokemon Trozei. It's a good time killer for when you're bored.
-As mentioned above, I hate fairy types with a passion. Gamefreak had the right idea, trying to create a type that could counter dragon. But their plan backfired when they just wound up creating an even more overpowered type. It's nice that it gives some use to steel and poison types, but that plan ultimately backfired too, because still nobody uses steel or poison.
-There are too many legendary Pokemon with "telepathy" in the movies. It makes sense for psychic types like Mewtwo, Lugia, Jirachi, Deoxys, and Hoopa, and for extra special Pokemon like Arceus and Santa's Lapras, but at the point when Kyurem and the Swords of Justice started to talk, it just got ridiculous. Volcanion talking can be excused by his hilariously grumpy personality, and I can also excuse Genesect for the fact that they're cybernetic, but otherwise... no.
-UPDATE 1-
-I think Zubat is cute. Of course like any other person, I hate running into them trillions of times in caves, but... I would cuddle one.
-I think Druddigon is pretty badass looking. It's shiny coloring could use some work though.
-While I wouldn't say I necessarily like Stunfisk, it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. There are much uglier Pokemon out there, why is it Stunfisk that people choose to pick on?
-I was disappointed when I found out about Pidove's evolutions. Pigeons are one of my favorite animals, and they ruined it by turning it into a pheasant, not to mention a pheasant with a pretty forgettable design. I like pheasants just as much as I love all birds, but they don't even compare to the adorableness that is pigeons.
-Trubbish is adorable. Garbodor is kinda cute in an ugly-cute way, but Trubbish is a sweet baby who must be protected at all costs.
